  Chris Beach, CPA/CFF CGMA CFE WILLIAM R. SCHIEFELBEIN, J.D.

Bill Schiefelbein has over 25 years experience in electronic discovery, legal technology and corporate compliance, including in-house and consulting experience with corporations, law firms and government. He has his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, and most recently has been Managing Director of the Howrey law firm electronic discovery business unit; Chair of the electronic discovery consulting practice at LECG; and Chief Information Officer at the Williams & Connolly law firm in Washington DC. Bill also has been CIO of an online university with over 10,000 students, and led enterprise IT and e-government strategy, policy and governance for a $400 million state government IT function.

Bill has acted as primary consultant on a wide range of investigations and litigations, ranging from the very small to very large, complex and international. In addition, Bill has been responsible for developing cost and risk reduction strategies, and internal capabilities spanning corporate compliance; records and information management; electronic discovery readiness tools and processes; preservation and collection of electronically stored information; data processing and electronic case assessment technologies and processes; computer forensics and data analysis; document review staffing, pricing and technology models; and a variety of innovative approaches to reducing the cost and risk of document review and production.

Mr. Beach has 35 years of professional experience in public accounting, financial consulting, claims consulting, and dispute resolution. He established and led the professional litigation consulting practice for Peterson Consulting LP (subsequently Navigant Consulting) for eleven years in Houston, Dallas, and Austin. He then founded and developed the litigation and economic development consulting practices at Beach & Company over a twelve-year period until 2005, at which time he merged the practice into the Houston office of LECG, which he led and developed as Managing Director of the office.

Throughout, Mr. Beach has consistently developed, performed, and led others in the practice of litigation and management consulting services for corporations, law firms, and public sector entities. In providing litigation support, he has testified in deposition, given testimony in State and Federal courts, including Bankruptcy court. He has also been engaged on international construction arbitration matters filed at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
